Liu Jie is a professor in the College of Artificial Intelligence, Nankai University. His research interests include machine learning, natural language processing, web mining, understanding, etc. He has published papers in refereed proceedings and journals, such as KDD, AAAI, IJCAI, ICDM, TKDE, TIST, etc. He has won second place in ICDAR 2011/2012 Book Structure Competition, ICMLC Zadeh Award, NLPCC 2017 Best Paper, first place of 2017 China Collegiate Computing Contest-Mobile Application Innovation Contest, outstanding winner and first place of 2017 CCF Big Data & Computing Intelligence Contest. He has taken charge of several projects of Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of Tianjin, etc. He also has carried out in-depth cooperation with large state-owned enterprises and representative Internet enterprises. The related achievements won the second award of Tianjin Science and Technology Progress Award in 2017.
